When a person picks up the Bible, reads it, believes it, and starts to follow its precepts, a certain kind of life style becomes apparent in his (or her) life.
He overcomes bitterness about life.
He loves his fellow man (not just those who agree with him).
He treats others with graciousness (not just those who agree with him).
His neighbors can trust him to be non-violent (not just those who agree with him).
He is honest.
He is compassionate.
He desires peace (personal and community and world wide peace).
He lives as a true follower of the life style God calls for in the Bible.
He is friendly and kind (not just to those who agree with him).
He is an all around good guy (not just to those who agree with him).
Someone has said "The Spirit of God takes the Word of God and makes a child of God."
Wouldn't it be wonderful if all religious books (and religions per se) would bring about such lives?
